In order to further learning, each subject sets work for students to complete at home. Homework is set using Google Classroom. Google Classroom is available to students and tutors while parents have the opportunity to receive scheduled updates on homework set.
Students will be required to use the online textbooks via the website Kerboodle. Their username is their normal login that they use for the school computers, their password is of their choosing and the institution code is gro4.

I have been using Kerboodle since the first edition of Invasion, Plague and Murder; I liked the style and the presentation of the books and have had every edition since. It was a natural progression to take the Fourth edition.
As a facultywe have been studying pedagogy on metacognition, how students learn and how isknowledge retained and applied. My reasonfor teaching History for the last 21 years has always been to inspire studentsto a lifelong love of the subject, not simply to pass exams. Kerboodle is agreat tool for inspiring students in this way; the books are beautifullyillustrated and set out in such a way that all students can find something thatthey are interested in. During lessons, I will often find students lookingahead at chapters. If they have iPads or laptops at home I will set themenquiry homework from the Kerboodle, which allows them to work independentlyand complete the History skills activities.
